Junior Laboratory Analyst

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for assigned laboratory analysis
• Ensure sample receipt and data entry into the SLIM database
• Perform assigned physical and chemical analyses
• Manage laboratory equipment, including maintenance, efficiency checks, and calibration
• Request necessary consumables from the Laboratory Supervisor
• Report equipment damage or anomalies to the Supervisor
• Comply with SGS Colombia and client safety standards
• Follow technical, operational, administrative, and quality procedures
• Participate in scheduled internal and external audits
• Implement quality, health, safety, and environmental policies and objectives

Requirements

• Technician or Technologist degree in Chemistry or related fields
• Minimum 6 months of related experience, preferably with function ovens and acid digestions
• Knowledge of NTC-ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory quality control
• Knowledge of method validation, measurement uncertainty, and quality assurance
• Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
