Junior IT Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing secure, compliant client environments following industry best practices for regulated financial firms
• Support onboarding projects through discovery, implementation, cutover, and handoff
• Implement and support core platforms including Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Windows Server, and Active Directory
• Execute file and email migrations from legacy or on-premises environments
• Assist with onsite client buildouts including deploying desktops, laptops, and network equipment
• Produce and maintain technical documentation such as runbooks, configuration notes, and diagrams
• Work closely with Project Managers and Support teams to provide status updates and manage risks

Requirements

• At least 6 months of professional IT experience (Desktop Support, Service Desk, or Systems Administration)
• Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Windows desktops and laptops
• Practical experience administering Microsoft 365 services
• Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, firewalls)
• Foundational knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• MS-900 or CompTIA A+ certification (or willingness to obtain shortly after hire)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in an MSP or multi-tenant environment
• Exposure to enterprise networking equipment like Palo Alto, Cisco, Meraki, or Ubiquiti
• Interest in automation and scripting using PowerShell
• Experience with MSP toolsets such as ConnectWise or NinjaOne
• Understanding of core security principles like MFA and Conditional Access
