Junior HIL Engineer

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software components
• Conduct tests to validate and verify software and hardware performance
• Analyze and troubleshoot issues to enhance system reliability
• Maintain and troubleshoot existing HIL systems and support the build of new ones
• Perform root cause analysis to solve complex technical challenges

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanics, Software) or equivalent experience
• 2–5 years of experience in HIL or SIL test environments
• Hands-on experience with HIL tools such as dSPACE, National Instruments, or Vector (CANoe, CANape, VTESTstudio)
• Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, C++, C#, or CAPL
• Understanding of vehicle communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet, UDS)
• Experience with CI/CD, version control systems, and requirements handling

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in vehicle environments
• Valid European driving license
• Basic understanding of automotive safety standards such as ISO 26262
• Experience with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs)
