Junior Groomer

Responsibilities

• Complete a ten-week intensive training program to learn fundamental grooming tasks
• Perform limited grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning under supervision
• Ensure the safety and well-being of every animal in the salon at all times
• Interact professionally with pet parents to provide optimal customer service and address inquiries
• Maintain a clean and safe grooming environment by disinfecting tools and sanitizing equipment
• Manage grooming appointments, paperwork, and accurate pet records

Requirements

• 0-1 year of animal-related experience (e.g., shelter volunteering or pet sitting)
• Genuine passion for animals and a desire to pursue a professional grooming career
• Basic understanding of dog breeds, behavior, and common grooming practices
• Ability to handle pets of all sizes and temperaments with care and empathy
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience as a grooming salon assistant
• High school diploma or GED
