Junior Groomer

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform fundamental grooming tasks including bathing, drying, brushing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning
• Assist seasoned groomers in the grooming process while prioritizing the comfort, safety, and well-being of all pets
• Interact professionally with pet parents to provide optimal customer service and address grooming inquiries
• Maintain a clean and safe salon environment by disinfecting tools and equipment and performing daily cleaning duties
• Manage grooming appointments, paperwork, and accurate pet records
• Adhere to all company hygiene, sanitation, and safety policies

Requirements

• 0-1 year of animal-related experience (shelter volunteering or pet sitting is a plus)
• Genuine passion for animals and a desire to pursue a professional grooming career
• Basic understanding of dog breeds, behavior, and common grooming practices
• Ability to handle pets of all sizes and temperaments with care and empathy
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required by the salon schedule

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience as a grooming salon assistant
• High school diploma or GED
