Junior Groomer

Responsibilities

• Perform limited grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning under the supervision of experienced groomers
• Ensure the well-being and safety of every animal in the salon at all times
• Interact professionally with pet parents to provide optimal customer service and address grooming inquiries
• Maintain a clean and safe grooming area by disinfecting tools and equipment and performing daily cleaning duties
• Manage grooming appointments, paperwork, and accurate grooming records

Requirements

• 0-1 year of animal-related experience (shelter volunteering or pet sitting is acceptable)
• Genuine passion for animals and a desire to pursue a career in pet grooming
• Basic understanding of dog breeds, behavior, and common grooming practices
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required by the schedule
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds
