Junior Geologist

Responsibilities

• Inventory, pulverization, and briquetting of samples for X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis
• Sample preparation for clay determination and other mineralogical tests
• Collaboration in the evaluation and interpretation of diffractograms and analytical results
• Maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment and XRD instrumentation according to established protocols
• Register, document, and organize data and analysis results in laboratory information systems
• Perform quality controls on samples and verify data accuracy before preparing reports
• Collaborate in the preparation of technical reports and summaries of geological findings
• Comply with all laboratory safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized workspace

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 months of practical experience supporting XRD analysis activities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
• Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills
• Availability to work in rotating shifts as necessary
