Junior Finance & Accounting Specialist

Responsibilities

• Process financial transactions, invoices, and expense reports with high accuracy
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable duties to ensure timely payments and collections
• Perform bank reconciliations and assist in preparing monthly and quarterly financial statements
• Support the preparation of tax returns, VAT declarations, and other regulatory documents in compliance with Dutch legislation
• Work closely with the finance team to support audits, budgeting, and forecasting activities
• Respond to internal and external financial queries professionally in both Dutch and English
• Assist in the continuous improvement of accounting processes and internal controls
• Maintain strict confidentiality of financial information and adhere to GDPR and compliance standards

Requirements

• Fluent Dutch (C1+) and proficient English (B2+)
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience or familiarity with accounting software
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a desire to learn
