Junior ETL Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements for completeness and accuracy against technical specifications
• Create high-level test scenarios and manual test cases
• Develop validation scripts for automated execution and create actionable data quality reports
• Monitor test pipelines and analyze outputs to report defects
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Data Scientists, and Product Owners to ensure data validity
• Participate in defect triage, sprint ceremonies, and Agile testing processes
• Assist in architecting logical designs for data quality practices and documentation

Requirements

• 2+ years of related experience in software development lifecycle or consulting
• Proven experience with ETL testing
• Proficiency in Azure Databricks and writing SQL queries for data warehouse environments
• Experience with test management tools such as Azure DevOps or JIRA
• Experience with source control repositories like Git (GitHub or Bitbucket)
• Ability to create Databricks notebooks to automate manual tests
• Experience working within a Scrum or Agile environment
• Familiarity with testing reports in Power BI or Tableau

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Experience with DAX
• Proficiency in Javascript or Typescript
