Junior Environmental Site Assessor

Responsibilities

• Conduct and coordinate field work, including soil, groundwater, and surface water sampling.
• Provide technical support for Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESA), remediation programs, and hydrogeological investigations.
• Support project managers with data analysis, interpretation, and report preparation in accordance with provincial and federal requirements.
• Assist with proposal preparation and general project management support tasks.
• Adhere to all safety, quality, and project-specific requirements while traveling to various sites.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geoscience, environmental science, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in environmental consulting or a related field, including field work and reporting.
• Valid G driver’s license and access to a vehicle for field assignments.
• Ability to travel, including overnight stays, and work outdoors in inclement weather.
• Proficient verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to obtain federal reliability security clearance.
• Proficiency with MS Office software suite (Word, Excel, O365).

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of field sampling techniques.
• P.Geo. or P.Eng. registration or eligibility.
• Understanding of excess soil management, soil vapour assessments, or risk management plans.
