Junior Environmental Professional

Responsibilities

• Support environmental assessments and closure programs, including Phase 1 and 2 ESAs, remediation, reclamation, and Detailed Site Assessments
• Conduct field activities such as soil and vegetation identification, borehole logging, and soil sampling
• Oversee third-party contractors in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Foster relationships with suppliers, landowners, stakeholders, and regulators
• Perform hands-on environmental work in the field up to 80% of the time

Requirements

• Technical diploma or university degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field
• Eligible for or holding a professional designation (e.g., Agrologist, Biologist, Engineer, Geoscientist) in Alberta or Saskatchewan
• Minimum 2 years of experience in environmental consulting with fieldwork expertise
• Valid Class 5 driver's license and ability to operate light-duty trucks
• Understanding of provincial environmental regulations and policies
• Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
