Junior Environmental Monitoring Inspector

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and sampling according to inspection orders and SGS operating instructions
• Keep the Lead Inspector or Project Leader informed about inspection progress
• Participate in service opening and closing meetings
• Prepare inspection-related documentation
• Report non-conformities to the Lead Inspector or Project Coordinator to apply corrective measures
• Submit operational expense reports, travel reports, and service deliverables on time
• Report on the status of monitoring equipment and vehicles, ensuring all resources return in good condition
• Participate in safety talks and complete Preliminary Risk Analysis (APR) before starting work
• Generate monthly reports of substandard acts or conditions in Intelex
• Complete minimum safety training hours and quality training programs

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Technical degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Fisheries, Biology, or related fields
• Availability to work rotating shifts
• Availability to travel
• 3 months of relevant experience (desirable)
• Valid driver's license (A1 for 3+ years or A2b for 2+ years)
