Responsibilities
- Conduct research studies, engineering investigations, and assessments related to various engineering functions
- Carry out civil engineering tasks of moderate complexity under supervision
- Perform tasks in specialized areas including design, drafting, and cost estimation
- Assist with specification writing and structural calculations
- Conduct field surveys and participate in design-related site inspections
Requirements
- Must be permanent in the Construction Project Manager Intern title or reachable on open-competitive exam #0147
- Four years of experience in construction inspection, management, or skilled building trades; OR a baccalaureate degree in a relevant engineering or construction field; OR a professional engineer/architect license
- Possession of a valid New York State Motor Vehicle Driver License
- ACI Concrete Field-Testing and OSHA 10-hour certification (or ability to complete DDC-offered training)
- Valid authorization to work full-time in the United States
