Responsibilities
- Perform construction inspection and construction management tasks
- Conduct engineering investigations and assessments
- Carry out civil engineering tasks of moderate complexity under supervision
- Assist with cost estimation and specification interpretation
- Perform engineering calculations and field inspections
- Participate in contract negotiations and dispute resolutions
Requirements
- Four years of experience in construction inspection, management, or skilled building trades; OR
- A baccalaureate degree in architecture, construction management, or civil, structural, electrical, or mechanical engineering; OR
- A combination of education and experience totaling four years
- Possession of a valid New York State Motor Vehicle Driver License
- Ability to obtain ACI Concrete Field-Testing and OSHA 10-hour certification
- Must meet specific civil service criteria for Construction Project Manager Intern
