Junior Designer - Bags

Responsibilities

• Produce strong research and designs under direction from the Creative Director and Head of Design
• Support fit samples and ensure clear comments are issued to vendors
• Create 3D moquettes and use pattern cutting skills to support spec work
• Spec bags and hardware and pass detailed tech packs to factories
• Collaborate with Product Development to approve bulk fabrics and garments for production
• Manage and mentor assistants and juniors within the design team
• Work to critical path deadlines to ensure on-time deliveries

Requirements

• Degree in Fashion Design (Bag design experience is a plus)
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Proven experience in model making and spec creation
• Strong pattern cutting skills
• Experience working with technical teams to move samples through to production
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to design to specific price points
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
