Junior Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects to convert design concepts into high-fidelity 3D CAD models
• Work with software developers to set requirements for parameterized modeling and automation
• Generate work instructions and assets for operations and build teams
• Develop modeling strategies to support standardization and automation
• Implement Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA) to simplify parts and assembly
• Maintain controlled documentation of 3D models and files in a cloud environment
• Own the quality assurance process for modeling and work instructions

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a Design Engineer
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field
• Proficiency in Onshape (or similar such as CATIA, Solidworks, or CREO)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce maintainable 3D models
• Excellent cross-functional communication and problem-solving skills
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in the construction industry
• Knowledge of Revit
• Experience with wood-based construction
