Junior Database Administrator (SQL)

Responsibilities

• Support the administration, maintenance, and monitoring of SQL databases
• Assist in managing database environments including Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, and Oracle
• Monitor database performance and identify optimization opportunities
• Support implementation and maintenance of backup and recovery processes
• Assist in database replication and high-availability configurations
• Contribute to the maintenance and optimization of data warehouses
• Support the creation and maintenance of reports using Power BI
• Collaborate with senior DBAs to troubleshoot issues and ensure system availability
• Assist with database migrations, upgrades, and routine maintenance
• Work with development and infrastructure teams to ensure reliability, security, and performance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• 1–2 years of experience in Database Administration or Database Support
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, or Oracle
• Familiarity with database backup and recovery concepts
• Basic understanding of database performance monitoring and optimization
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to replication, clustering, or high-availability concepts
• Familiarity with Azure and MongoDB
• Basic knowledge of data warehouse concepts
• Experience or familiarity with Power BI for reporting
