Junior Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support ingestion and normalization of data from colleges and universities
• Build and maintain ETL processes to load data into Azure SQL and Azure Data Lake
• Utilize SQL Data Tools and Python to develop data pipeline solutions
• Ensure data quality, security, and integrity using best-in-class BI tools
• Create technical documentation for databases and assist in client communications
• Collaborate with data, analytics, and client service teams to support partners

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, or a database certification
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure platforms including Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Function Apps, and SQL
• Exposure to Python for data manipulation
• Understanding of structured and unstructured data storage
• Proven ability to test and troubleshoot complex technical problems
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks appropriately

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with large databases and developing data warehouses
• Experience designing and developing dimensional models
• Understanding of Python for managing complex data
• Microsoft developer certifications
