Junior Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain highly performant and reliable data pipelines using Airflow and BigQuery.
• Collaborate with data analysts and stakeholders to define requirements and design efficient data models within BigQuery.
• Serve as the dedicated data engineering resource for Custom Solutions, translating bespoke client requests into production-ready technical solutions.
• Optimize queries and pipeline performance to ensure maximum efficiency for dashboards and client deliverables.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of data infrastructure and implement best practices, including the use of AI tools to accelerate development.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• 2+ years of experience building and maintaining data pipelines using Airflow or Cloud Composer.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing principles and hands-on experience with BigQuery.
• Solid knowledge of ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and building idempotent, reliable pipelines.
• Experience with Git and cloud platforms, specifically Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Comfort and enthusiasm for leveraging AI tools (e.g., Claude) in your daily workflow.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building and deploying interactive dashboards or data applications (e.g., Dash on Cloud Run).
