Junior Damage Underwriter

Responsibilities

• Analyze and prepare new quotes across all insurance lines based on current company policies.
• Prepare renewal quotes by verifying policy history regarding premiums and claims.
• Inform agents and commercial executives if a risk requires inspection or facultative support based on underwriting policies and contract capacity.
• Provide timely responses to agents and commercial executives regarding received requests within established timeframes.
• Monitor important accounts, deliver coverage letters, and prepare reports on folios and won business.

Requirements

• University degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Civil, or Data Analytics), Actuarial Science, or Administration (Administration or Economics).
• Experience in general damage underwriting.
• Strong focus on results and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow guidelines and demonstrate negotiation skills.
