Junior Concierge

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, efficient, and responsive concierge services to guests to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
• Recommend and book top-tier restaurants, bars, clubs, tours, and transfers.
• Prepare personalized itineraries for arriving and in-house guests.
• Assist guests with various needs, including Table Mountain tickets, courier services, and online check-in.
• Maintain a clean and professional concierge work area, including the desk, seating area, and digital workstations.
• Coordinate with other departments to manage special guest requirements and update guest profiles in the Property Management System.
• Manage daily handovers, guest requests, and correspondence, ensuring all emails are replied to within 12 hours.
• Utilize guest profiles and history to anticipate needs and flag VIP arrivals.

Requirements

• Advanced Diploma in Hotel Management or a similar discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Concierge in a 5-star environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office and essential knowledge of Opera software.
• Strong computer literacy and ability to use various digital platforms (Saga, Dineplan, Alice, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills with fluency in English.
• Broad, up-to-date knowledge of the Cape Town area, including local attractions, dining, and entertainment.
• Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task, and maintain flexibility with shift patterns and overtime.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in European languages is considered an advantage.
