About the role

Responsibilities

  • Input, validate, and update case data from paper and electronic employment eligibility documentation, including Forms I-9, into designated systems.
  • Utilize DHS law enforcement and commercial databases to run queries and research identity and employment eligibility information.
  • Assist Auditors and Criminal Investigators with the evaluation of Employment Eligibility Verification Forms and related supporting records.
  • Draft clear and concise audit workpapers, summary memoranda, and supporting documentation for enforcement correspondence.
  • Prepare, assemble, and maintain organized, audit-ready electronic and hard-copy case files.
  • Coordinate case activities and documentation with government Criminal Investigators and Auditors to ensure timely completion of assignments.
  • Follow all applicable DHS and ICE policies regarding privacy, records management, and information assurance.

Requirements

  • 0 to 3 years of experience in accurate data entry and managing large volumes of documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel and Word.
  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
  • Associates degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS/ICE Tier 4 High Risk Public Trust clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in compliance, auditing, investigations support, or immigration-related work.
  • Familiarity with employment eligibility verification processes and Forms I-9.
  • Experience working with federal agencies, particularly DHS or ICE.
  • Knowledge of records management and sensitive information handling requirements.
