Junior CAD Librarian/Documentation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build and verify schematic symbols, PCB footprints, and 3D STEP models in CAD tools such as Altium or Mentor.
• Review components against manufacturer datasheets, mechanical drawings, and IPC standards to ensure data accuracy.
• Maintain centralized libraries using strict naming conventions, revision control, and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with hardware and mechanical engineers to resolve design issues and provide custom library parts.
• Develop scripts for automation and standardize workflows to improve process efficiency.
• Maintain detailed records for library parts and generate schematic and assembly drawings for the PDM system.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 2 years of experience in Computer-aided Design (CAD) or Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design.
• 2 years of experience working with Mentor Xpedition tools.
• Fluency in English (reading and writing).

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or similar eCAD tools.
• Deep understanding of IPC standards (e.g., IPC-7351) and electronic component packaging.
• Experience with Flexible Printed Circuit (FPC) design.
• PCB Layout experience.
• Ability to conduct and participate in technical meetings in English.
