Junior Buyer

Responsibilities

• Procure materials, supplies, parts, and equipment at the lowest cost while maintaining quality and reliability.
• Monitor and manage purchase orders and quotes with various vendors.
• Assist in budget forecasting for indirect materials and services.
• Support cost reduction activities and manage savings initiatives.
• Troubleshoot and generate corrective actions for defective or unacceptable goods or services.
• Assist with physical inventory and maintain refurbish/repair programs.
• Research technical parts using computer databases and manufacturer part numbers.
• Operate various equipment including forklifts, floor jacks, and company trucks.

Requirements

• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to bend, squat, twist, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to prioritize work to avoid production downtime.
• Commitment to following all safety procedures and wearing required PPE.

Preferred Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
• Previous experience with SAP or Ariba.
• Valid forklift operator's license.
