Junior Buyer

Responsibilities

• Support the Category Manager in purchasing and managing a designated product portfolio to maximize sales and profit.
• Conduct market trend analysis, competitor research, and consumer need assessments to act as a portfolio expert.
• Assist in managing product line assortments, forecasting sales mix, and developing pricing strategies.
• Manage large data sets using Power BI and Excel to drive decision-making and identify growth opportunities.
• Oversee demand and promotional planning to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Collaborate with Marketing, E-commerce, and Visual Merchandising teams to ensure successful product campaigns and in-store displays.
• Maintain high levels of price and product specification accuracy within company systems.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in retail buying or a closely related field.
• Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency with V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, and complex formulas.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret statistics and manage large databases.
• Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools.
• Excellent communication, time management, and project coordination skills.
• Ability to work onsite at our corporate office in Coquitlam.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related business field.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
