Junior Bunker Trader

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Senior Bunker Traders to secure new business and develop client relationships.
• Act as a reliable point of contact for customers, suppliers, barge operators, and port authorities.
• Assist in the bunker purchasing process, including pre-sale and post-delivery information gathering.
• Conduct market research and prospect for new business opportunities to build a personal portfolio.
• Perform active brokering and trading to ensure optimum rates for both the company and clients.
• Support the trading team with various ad-hoc duties as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Maritime Studies, Supply Chain, Economics, or a related discipline.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in bunker trading, marine fuels, shipping, or the maritime industry.
• Strong commercial mindset with a results-oriented approach.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of organization, attention to detail, and professional integrity.
• Willingness to work extended hours to support business operations and customer needs.
