Junior Audio Engineer

Responsibilities

• Assist with audio production for university chapels, special events, studio recordings, and Athletic Complex events
• Provide timely on-call technical support to faculty, staff, and students regarding audio equipment and systems
• Operate and maintain the Dante audio network and QLab audio playback system
• Manage inventory and perform routine maintenance on all university audio equipment
• Provide training and supervision to Media Services Student Workers and Graduate Assistants
• Assist in the installation of AV equipment across campus and recommend new equipment purchases

Requirements

• 1-3 years of hands-on experience with standard audiovisual equipment (sound, video, computers)
• Knowledge of DLive digital mixing systems, microphones, speakers, and monitors
• Proficiency with QLab audio playback systems
• Dante Level 1 Certification
• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs and climb ladders
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as required
• Ability to safely operate vehicles, including golf carts and trucks, for equipment transport

Preferred Qualifications

• 3-5 years of hands-on audiovisual experience
• Understanding of both live and broadcast audio mixing
