About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day leadership and direction of assigned departments including front office, housekeeping, and food & beverage
- Achieve and exceed forecasted revenue budgets for accommodation, food, beverage, and conferencing
- Control expenditure to ensure alignment with hotel expense budgets
- Manage payments, collections, and month-end/year-end financial processes
- Oversee preventive maintenance programs for hotel bedrooms and public areas
- Plan and control compliant staffing levels per shift
- Foster excellent guest service in accordance with brand standards and marketing strategies
- Implement environmental sustainability plans and participate in community CSI activities
Requirements
- Grade 12 qualification
- National Diploma in Hospitality Management or equivalent
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Minimum 1 year of exposure to all hotel departments in an FOC position
- Ability to hold a position of authority (e.g., liquor license eligibility)
- Ability to work long hours and shifts as required by the hospitality industry
Preferred Qualifications
- Food and Beverage qualification or significant exposure
- Completion of an AGM internal development programme
