Junior Area Manager

Responsibilities

• Ensure high levels of customer service and resolve complaints across all stores
• Meet and exceed individual and overall sales targets through fortnightly manager meetings
• Coach, develop, and motivate the team while managing succession planning
• Conduct performance appraisals and manage disciplinary procedures
• Oversee staff scheduling, stock management, and stock rotation
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and marketing requirements
• Manage store administration including stocktakes, ordering, and inter-branch transfers
• Monitor local competitors and recommend improvements to store experience

Requirements

• Matric certificate
• Valid South African driver's license
• At least 2 years of leadership or management experience
• Proven ability to lead, influence, and manage teams
• Knowledge of HR procedures and labor laws
• Strong interpersonal and planning skills
• Computer literacy and ability to interpret financial data
• Passion for animals and customer service

Preferred Qualifications

• Retail-related qualification
• Experience in veterinary or pet care retail
• Completed retail courses on leadership and performance management
• Knowledge of specific pet brands and products
