Junior Applications Engineer

We've raised over $450M and are investing aggressively in model research, infrastructure, hardware development, and manufacturing scale-up.

Responsibilities

• Support POP, POC, and RaaS engagements including solution design, system setup, and sensor bring-up
• Integrate and calibrate sensors such as cameras, LiDAR, IMUs, and depth sensors
• Execute test plans, record results, and maintain robot platforms and field test kits
• Assist with field troubleshooting, log collection, and root cause analysis
• Write technical documentation including test logs, configuration notes, and calibration reports
• Operate onboard software stacks and write Python scripts for test automation and data processing
• Develop expertise in EU functional safety concepts

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related field
• 0–3 years of experience with robotic systems
• Hands-on experience with ROS or ROS2
• Working knowledge of Linux and command line
• Python scripting ability for data analysis or automation
• English fluency and German at working level
• Willingness to travel approximately 40% across Europe

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with robot policy training or model fine-tuning
• Experience with teleoperation systems or remote robot control
• Experience with sensor integration (LiDAR, IMU, depth)
• Exposure to functional safety concepts (ISO 26262, IEC 61508)
• Experience with EtherCAT or CAN protocols
• Knowledge of Embedded Linux, C, or Rust
• Familiarity with MATLAB or Simulink
