Junior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Post purchase invoices and employee expense claims, ensuring all necessary approvals are obtained.
• Perform bank reconciliations and update bank records regularly.
• Manage sales invoices and monitor customer settlements.
• Verify, allocate, and reconcile transactions to ensure correct accounting treatment.
• Prepare periodic reconciliations for intercompany, vendor, and customer balances.
• Assist with periodic closing of accounts and ensure compliance with IFRS and local standards.
• Support the annual audit process and contribute to the improvement of financial processes.
• Maintain compliance with internal control rules and Group financial procedures.

Requirements

• Must be an Emirati national.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in an accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS standards and local UAE tax rules.
• Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and accounting software.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and numerical aptitude.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to meet tax and closing deadlines.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
