Junior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Record and maintain daily financial transactions in ERP software
• Prepare journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payment vouchers
• Post customer sales invoices and cross-reference with inventory and retail deliveries
• Process vendor purchase invoices and verify departmental approvals
• Perform monthly bank reconciliation statements
• Reconcile intercompany balances, customer accounts, and supplier ledgers
• Assist senior accounting staff with month-end closes and external audits
• Help prepare data for UAE VAT filings
• Identify and flag duplicate entries or payment discrepancies
• Provide data support for budgeting and forecasting processes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 1 to 2 years of proven accounting experience
• Experience in consumer goods, retail, or production environments preferred
• High proficiency in MS Excel
• Working knowledge of ERP software (e.g., Odoo)
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and UAE VAT regulations
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
