Junior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Record and maintain daily financial transactions accurately in the ERP software
• Prepare and process journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payment vouchers
• Post customer sales invoices and cross-reference with inventory and retail deliveries
• Process vendor purchase invoices and verify departmental workflow approvals
• Perform monthly bank reconciliation statements to ensure general ledger accuracy
• Reconcile intercompany balances, customer accounts, and supplier/vendor ledgers
• Assist senior accounting staff with month-end closes and external audits
• Support the preparation of data and computations for UAE VAT filings
• Identify and flag duplicate entries, incorrect entries, or payment discrepancies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field
• 1-2 years of proven experience in accounting
• High proficiency in MS Excel
• Working knowledge of standard ERP software (e.g., Odoo)
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and UAE VAT regulations
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
