Junior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Support daily accounting activities including journal entries, invoice processing, and bookkeeping tasks
• Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities
• Monitor bank transactions and support treasury-related activities
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities
• Prepare reconciliations and accounting supporting documentation
• Assist with VAT administration and statutory filings under Belgian regulations
• Maintain regular communication with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders
• Support audit processes by preparing documentation for internal and external audits
• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure data quality within finance systems
• Collaborate with Finance teams across multiple international entities
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of accounting procedures and SOPs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
• 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and Belgian GAAP
• Knowledge of AP/AR and general accounting processes
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office tools
• Fluent English
• Fluent or professional level Dutch
• French is considered a strong asset

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA
