Junior Accountant & Project Controls

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements by contract, project, and business unit vs budget and forecast
• Perform variance analysis at contract and site level
• Support annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-range business planning
• Monitor and report on burn rates and financial performance for client contracts and subcontractor agreements
• Maintain contract-level cost tracking models
• Support cost-to-complete forecasting and early identification of financial risks
• Partner with operations leadership to improve financial performance and cost discipline
• Support month-end close, including accruals, allocations, and revenue recognition
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal financial controls
• Prepare financial reporting packages for leadership

Requirements

• Bachelor or Associate degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business
• 2+ years of financial analysis and/or project controls experience
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
• Advanced Excel skills including modeling and pivot tables
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Dynamics)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in contract or operations-based environments
• CPA designation or currently working toward it
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau
