Junior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Perform daily bookkeeping including posting invoices, expenses, journals, and accruals
• Maintain project cost ledgers, cost coding, and budget-vs-actual tracking
• Record project revenue, IPCs, variations, and client invoicing
• Process and reconcile subcontractor and supplier accounts, including advances and retentions
• Maintain general ledger postings and assist in balance-sheet reconciliations
• Support accounts payable and receivable processes and invoice settlement
• Prepare journal vouchers and perform bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations
• Support project accounting activities including cost allocation and claim reviews
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities and financial report preparation
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of accounting experience within contracting or construction companies
• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office Tools
• Basic working knowledge of UAE VAT and local regulatory requirements
• Strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Accounting related certification
