Junior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Reconcile and process supplier payments
• Clarify questionable invoice items, pricing, or receiving signatures
• Prepare vouchers including invoice numbers, dates, vendor addresses, and appropriate coding per accounting policies
• Manage petty cash and update cash transactions on a daily basis
• Review and verify new suppliers, including trade licenses, VAT numbers, and compliance documents
• Monitor and maintain accounts payable
• Keep accounting books and financial records up to date
• Track key financial areas such as prepayments, top supplier payables, and cash bills

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• M.Com or equivalent qualification in Accounting/Finance
• 1–2 years of experience as an Accountant
• Experience in the Retail, Ecommerce, or FMCG industry is preferred
• Proficiency in English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel
• High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience specifically in accounts payable
