Junior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for all accounts and ensure finalization within one working day post month-end
• Perform weekly corporate card reconciliations and escalate discrepancies or missing documentation
• Reconcile alternative cash applications such as Botim Pay and Lulu Exchange on a monthly basis
• Support the posting of manual journal entries in Microsoft Dynamics with accuracy and proper approval
• Raise finance-related purchase orders through Coupa in accordance with procurement policies
• Maintain an up-to-date Work-in-Progress (WIP) tracker and coordinate with stakeholders on timelines
• Maintain detailed accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) schedules, including ageing items
• Monitor and report on accruals outstanding beyond 60 days to the Financial Controller
• Support broader finance activities and ad hoc tasks as required

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reconciliations and tracking schedules
• Familiarity with accounting systems such as Microsoft Dynamics
• Familiarity with procurement tools such as Coupa
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a relevant accounting or finance role
• Progress towards a professional qualification such as ACCA or CPA
