Jr. Sterilization Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, including sterilizers, robotic palletizers, and conveyors, in accordance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Conduct routine safety and operational checks on the sterilizer and facility to ensure compliance with safety requirements.
• Perform preventive maintenance on department equipment and diagnose/correct equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate processing records, including material transfers, dosimetry data, and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Manage material handling, storage, and distribution in pre-sterile and post-sterile quarantine areas.
• Assist in training material handling staff and Cobalt-60 Sterilization Operators.
• Perform post-sterilization inspections and ensure QC verification of codification labeling.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work a 12-hour night shift on a 3, 2, 2, 3 schedule.
• Ability to train on the 1st shift (Monday–Friday).
• Successful completion of an FBI background check performed by the NRC.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree or Mechatronics certificate.
• Knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical, and PLC systems.
