About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist with cost controls and monitor expenditures
- Support the creation of pricing schedules for meals
- Help source high-quality, local, sustainable, and organic ingredients
- Assist in planning and executing seasonal and creative menus
- Support purchasing and inventory management
- Enforce food quality and safety standards
- Ensure the safety of the physical kitchen and café space
- Support in-house catering and special company events
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 2 years of culinary leadership experience
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee to comply with ITAR regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or certificate in culinary arts
- High-volume production or catering experience
- Ability to create innovative menus
- Ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced environments
