Jr. Network Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive network monitoring and first-level support for network incidents during the night shift
• Collaborate with Network Engineers and Cable Technicians on incident prevention and service restoration
• Perform basic troubleshooting and escalate issues to the network team within established SLAs
• Configure and replace faulty network equipment under the guidance of the Network Team
• Participate as a buddy check for network engineers during night change windows
• Follow SOPs, create daily pass-down reports, and update management systems
• Provide occasional extended hours support during high-project seasons and site maintenance days

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of Network Help Desk or Network Technician experience
• CCT, CCNA, or CompTIA A+ certification
• Knowledge of VLANs, Subnetting, IP addressing, Ethernet, and fiber optic cables
• Proficiency with tools such as SSH, telnet, traceroute, and optical transceivers
• Ability to live within 1 hour of north Austin, TX to meet SLA requirements
• Ability to lift equipment up to 40lb
• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment wearing a complete smock

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Korean
• Experience with switch configuration and network troubleshooting
