About the role
Responsibilities
- Execute audit plans by creating programs, conducting testing, and ensuring documentation meets IIA standards.
- Assess compliance with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations.
- Support audit planning through scoping, scheduling, and risk assessments.
- Review audit workpapers for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with documentation standards.
- Assist in fraud-related investigations by analyzing transactional data and coordinating with Legal, Compliance, and HR.
- Partner with Finance, IT, and Risk teams to monitor the progress of issue remediation.
- Prepare draft audit reports and presentations communicating testing results and recommended actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in internal audit, external audit, accounting, analytics, or risk management.
- Solid knowledge of internal auditing and control frameworks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish.
- Ability to analyze datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and potential risk indicators.
- Strong attention to detail and high standards of accuracy in documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in Shared Services Centers or complex, high-volume environments.
- Background in the hospitality, retail, or multi-location industries.
- Exposure to audit analytics, data analysis, or continuous monitoring tools.
- Experience supporting fraud reviews or compliance analytics.
