About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide HR and administrative support for the facility, covering labour relations, health and safety, recruitment, and onboarding.
  • Coordinate the performance and attendance management cycle, including the preparation of corrective disciplinary action letters.
  • Support recruitment processes for hourly and salaried employees in partnership with the Talent Acquisition team.
  • Manage payroll processes for the client group, including processing payroll action files and reviewing summary reports.
  • Assist in providing counsel on labour relations matters, including the interpretation and application of Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA).
  • Investigate discrimination and harassment complaints and assist in resolving conflict situations.
  • Support health, safety, and security programs, including managing Worker’s Compensation cases and JHSC matters.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar Human Resources role.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant employment legislation (Health & Safety, Employment Standards, Human Rights, etc.).
  • Experience in labour relations, including exposure to handling grievances and CBA application.
  • Fluency in English with excellent professional writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work onsite in Montreal, Quebec.

  • Ongoing professional development within the Human Resources field.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-change environment.
  • Strong proficiency with HRIS systems.
