Jr. Engineer - Backend (Mechanical)

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Necker and Spray machinery to ensure optimum speed, efficiency, and quality.
• Conduct periodic cleaning, safety checks, and maintenance inspections on equipment.
• Perform troubleshooting and corrective maintenance on positive displacement pumps, gearboxes, and complex assemblies.
• Monitor quality specifications and Critical Control Points (CCP), such as inside spray curing and label clearance.
• Manage area spoilage, jams, and downtime through swift corrective actions.
• Handle flammable liquids and hazardous waste in strict accordance with plant safety and environmental standards.
• Maintain housekeeping and hygiene standards in the production area.
• Participate in TPM, 5S activities, and Behavior Based Safety (BBS) programs.

Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3 years of operation or maintenance experience in a medium-scale FMCG plant (e.g., food, beverage, or consumer goods).
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting positive displacement pumps, gearboxes, and complex mechanical assemblies.
• Experience operating or maintaining gas-fired equipment such as boilers, ovens, or driers.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding engineering drawings.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
• Computer literacy for report generation and data logging.
• Ability to work shifts and extended hours as required.
• Proficiency in English and local languages.
