Jr. Category Manager - Procurement

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver comprehensive category strategies across telecom, business services, or alternate procurement channels to drive savings and supplier optimization.
• Execute strategic supplier negotiations to secure discounts, optimized rate cards, and value-added services.
• Conduct critical reviews of renewals to eliminate low-value services and drive competitive pressure.
• Manage the competitive RFX pipeline to accelerate bidding and achieve market-based pricing.
• Drive supplier consolidation to achieve a 3% reduction in spend by shifting volume to high-performing vendors.
• Monitor and manage demand to prevent unnecessary or "maverick" spend.
• Support supplier performance through scorecards, business reviews, and contract adherence monitoring.
• Collaborate with DEI teams to identify opportunities for including diverse suppliers in sourcing events.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Indirect Sourcing & Procurement.
• In-depth knowledge of supply chain management and procurement processes.
• Proven experience in sourcing for indirect categories (e.g., IT, Telecom, or Business Services).
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with MS Office Suites.
• Experience working with ERP systems such as PeopleSoft or Coupa.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduation or advanced degree (MBA) in Business or Supply Chain Management.
• Professional procurement designations such as CSCP or CPM.
