Journeyworker Electrician

Responsibilities

• Supervise the planning, installation, and completion of electrical systems in new or existing construction
• Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code and applicable standards
• Supervise electricians, interpret blueprints, and manage schedules and budgets
• Measure, cut, and bend conduit using manual and power equipment
• Pull electrical wire and cable in conduit
• Install electrical raceways, lighting fixtures, controls, and distribution equipment
• Operate power tools including drills, saws, pullers, and tuggers
• Maintain proper care for materials, tools, and equipment

Requirements

• Associate's degree from a two-year college or technical school, or equivalent experience
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds frequently
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and varying climates
• Ability to climb ladders, scaffolds, and work from various heights
• Ability to work in confined spaces such as manholes or crawl spaces
• Willingness to travel out of town and stay overnight as required
• Ability to work night or weekend shifts and overtime as required
