Journeyworker Electrician

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electronic components of industrial machinery
• Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and OSHA/MSHA safety standards
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Operate hand and power tools including cable cutters, hammer drills, and jack hammers
• Perform trench digging and excavations using hand tools or power equipment
• Teach, train, and guide electrical apprentices
• Maintain professional representation of the company and care for tools and materials
• Participate in on-call, night, and weekend work as required

Requirements

• Valid state Journeyworker’s license
• Associate's degree from a technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to lift 75+ pounds frequently
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and confined spaces
• Ability to climb ladders, scaffolds, and aerial lifts
• Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and trade-related calculations
