Journeyperson Electrician

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of electrical systems, transformers, circuit breakers, and switchgear (13.8kV to 500kV)
• Lead the planning and installation of ground grids, power system assemblies, and wiring
• Conduct inspections and testing of high voltage equipment to ensure compliance with maintenance standards
• Mentor and train Electrician Apprentices in technical resolution and safe work practices
• Operate construction equipment including skid steers, mini hoes, manlifts, and zoombooms
• Adhere to company health and safety manuals and industry regulations
• Assist with the installation of structural steel and buried utilities

Requirements

• Valid Journeyperson Electrician Certificate
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years of substation work
• In-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and OSHA regulations
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
• Ability to work at heights and in adverse weather conditions
• Willingness and ability to travel to various project sites across the United States
• Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing
