Journeyman Scientist - CBRN

Responsibilities

• Provide scientific and technical expertise in support of Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) programs
• Conduct scientific analyses and evaluations related to human, animal, plant, and environmental impacts of CBRN hazards
• Support the development and implementation of prevention, protection, mitigation, and response strategies
• Analyze complex technical and operational issues to support decision-making
• Assist in the planning and execution of scientific studies and operational assessments
• Coordinate with government stakeholders, researchers, and subject matter experts
• Develop technical reports, analytical products, and briefings
• Evaluate emerging technologies and scientific methodologies to improve CBRN capabilities

Requirements

• Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a scientific, engineering, medical, veterinary, or public health field
• 3-10 years of experience in a scientific, engineering, medical, veterinary, or public health field
• Experience supporting programs related to the medical consequences of CBRN events
• Experience in the Homeland Security pillars of prevention and protection
• Experience in operational scientific and technical analysis
• Ability to define and resolve system issues and develop analytical plans
