Journeyman Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and corrective maintenance on camp infrastructure including heating, water, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair commercial kitchen appliances and foodservice equipment
• Inspect, install, and maintain propane/natural gas appliances and piping
• Maintain potable water systems, sewage treatment, pumps, fixtures, and drains
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, lighting, power distribution, and generators
• Complete daily Job Hazard Assessments (JHAs) and ensure compliance with safety regulations

Requirements

• Valid Journeyperson certification in Gas fitting, Plumbing, or Electrical
• Minimum 2–3 years of licensed experience in commercial, industrial, or camp maintenance
• Ticketed commercial appliance competency (e.g., CFESA certifications)
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license
• Ability to pass a Drug & Alcohol Test and Health Assessment Test
• Ability to clear a Criminal Background Check

Preferred Qualifications

• Red Seal certification
• Manufacturer training on brands such as Rational, Garland, Hobart, or Manitowoc
• WHMIS, Fall Protection, and Confined Space certifications
